Language, Name, and Profile Type

Where account settings are, how to change the dashboard language, how to switch between teacher and student, and why email can't be changed.

All your personal settings are in one place: Settings, in the sidebar. The page is called Account.

What you can change

  • Full Name — appears to your students.
  • Language — the dashboard language.
  • Profile Type — Teacher or Student.
  • New Password — see change password.

After editing, click Save Changes.

Language

The selector at the top of the page has three options: 🇧🇷 Português, 🇺🇸 English, and 🇪🇸 Español. The change is immediate — no need to save.

Two things that often confuse:

  • The dashboard language is not the content language. Each exercise has its own Content language (English, Portuguese, or Spanish), set at creation, and that's what the AI uses to write.
  • You can see any page in another language right away by adding ?locale=en or ?locale=es to the address. This doesn't change your saved preference.

Teacher or student

In Profile Type you choose between Teacher and Student. It's the same place for both paths:

  • you came in to create material and want to answer a colleague's activities? Switch to Student;
  • you created your account to study and now you're going to teach? Switch to Teacher.

The 500 free credits are granted only to teacher accounts, and only once per account.

Email doesn't change

The Email field appears locked on purpose: it's your login identity and the key to your purchases. If you really need to change email, open a ticket in Account or access via support.

Note: the Email Preferences field appears on the screen, but doesn't have an effect yet. Don't count on it to turn off notifications.
