Fluency Adapter
Simplifies or enhances an authentic text while keeping the facts, and shows in an x-ray what was changed — plus a mini glossary.

What is it for
You found the perfect text, but it's C1 and your class is B1. The usual way is to rewrite it by hand or give up on the text. This tool rewrites it keeping the same facts, and — most useful — shows what it changed and why.
It works both ways: Simplify lowers the level, Enhance raises it.
How to use
- Add the tool to your exercise.
- Paste the original in Source Text (up to 3,500 characters).
- Choose the Action: Simplify or Enhance.
- Click Abracadabra ✨.
The result has three parts:
- The adapted text, with a badge showing the mode.
- The Vocabulary X-Ray: a table with the original term, the adapted term, and a note explaining the change.
- The Mini Glossary, collapsible, with simple definitions of key words.

Mini Glossary Show
- remote work - work done away from the company office, usually from home
- update - a short message telling other people what you have done
- to concentrate - to give all your attention to one thing
- corridor - a long narrow passage inside a building
- mixed model - a way of working that combines two different arrangements

Tips
Tip: the x-ray is lesson material, not behind-the-scenes. Project the table and ask the class why "serendipitous hallway encounters" became "talked in the corridor without planning it". That's an entire register lesson.
Tip: give the same text in two versions to the same class — simplified for those just starting, enhanced for those already ahead. The discussion is still common.
Tip: use Enhance on an advanced student's writing (with their permission) to show, side by side, how the same idea sounds in a higher register.
Note: the tool preserves the facts, but check numbers, names, and dates in the adapted text before using it. And, with third-party text, respect copyright: adapting doesn't transfer authorship.
Cost in credits
10 credits per generation, for any text size up to the 3,500-character limit. Generating the simplified and enhanced versions are two generations: 20 credits.
